Cork vs. Screwtop discussion

The cork vs. screwtop discussion has been the topic of many articles for several years. With the 2002 vintage, three of the producers in the Rudi Wiest Selections portfolio (Gunderloch, Mönchhof, and Wirsching) have changed to screwtop as the preferred closure.

The reason this is the best closure available is because it ensures that the wine reaches the consumer exactly as the winemaker intended it to be.
