Lime-green colour. Citrus, almost creamy fruit nose. Appley/rhubarb, creamy yoghurt, pure Riesling intensity of fresh, ripe grapes. Perfect. 5–10 years.

Sweet limey citrus nose, hints of honey and hint of botrytis. Lovely clean, fresh, pure fruit, soft, peachy flavours, lovely trace of acidity, lovely weight, with intensity. Delicious long finish. 5–10

Slightly reserved fruit nose. Pleasant clean luminous fruity, slightly peardroppy, not a great deal of depth but a good style. Drink now.

Low-yielding old vines, planted on a sunny, chalk-rich slope in one of the new 'grosses gewachs' (grands crus) have produced a dry opulent wine, with silky, peach-perfumed fruit and excellent acidity. Drink up to 7 years. - £22

Impressively pure, mineral, appley Mosel from Thomas Haag, son of the famous Wilhelm. Drink upt 2008. - £8.50
